David's Story

"David's Story" is the result of one family's conversation on the way home from an amazing meeting sponsored by Howick School and Supporting Families in Mental Illness Auckland. This open meeting was for all young people and their families interested in bipolar disorder or depression.

The meeting looked at the effect on young people, where to get help, and if there was an interest in starting a support group. The evening described by Emma Kelly as 'comforting, enlightening and sad all at the same time", sparked a chat with her niece and nephew on the drive home and she then wrote "David's Story". Emma asked a talented young illustrator (Theo Kelly) to complete the story with his amazing art work.
