Referral & ResourceLINKSAuckland City Mission (NZ) - Auckland City Mission offers hope to individuals and families who may be experiencing a temporary set back or a long-term problem that needs expert attention. The Mission provides immediate assistance, such as food, clothing and bedding, and staff work with individuals or families to find workable, long-term solutions to the issues they face. Citizens Advice Bureau (NZ) - Citizens Advice Bureau is a voluntary organisation providing free, confidential information and advice to anyone about any query or problem. CAB is staffed by trained volunteers who can access information by computer or from the extensive range of resources held by each bureau. CommunityNet Aotearoa (NZ) - A portal: The Internet offers access to thousands of websites and discussion forums, with new material constantly being created. A huge amount of information is available, but it can be time consuming and confusing to find what you want. CommunityNet editors search for reliable and useful resources already on the Internet and link to them from How-To Guides and Hot Topics. Disability Resource Centre (NZ) - Since 1981, the Disability Resource Centre Auckland Inc. has continually sought to develop and increase the range, scope and quality of services it offers to support the needs of the disabled community. The services currently offered are detailed in the Services section of this website. Disabled people are represented in Governance and as employees of the Centre. Our vision and strategic direction are very much aligned with the objectives of the New Zealand Disability Strategy. GM Resource & Referral Directory (NZ) - The GM Resource and Referral Directory was originally published as the Directory of Counselling and Psychotherapy, the first edition coming out in 1991. It has been published regularly since, the current edition being the eleventh. In 2000, the name was changed to the GM Resource and Referral Directory and the scope expanded to encompass ten referral areas plus a section for professional development resources. Mental Health Foundation Resource & Information Service (NZ) - One of the ways we support individuals and communities is through providing access to quality information and rersources on mental health and wellbeing. We encourage people to make informed choices and decisions about their mental health in ways that enhance their quality of life. We have a range of tool kits and educational resources focussing on enhancing mental wellbeing, community awareness & destigmatisation, for use in schools and community settings. A file of our services. There is also a searchable library database where anyone who becomes a registered member can borrow a range of mental health, wellbeing and mental health promotion material including books and DVDs. If you are based outside of Auckland, you can borrow our books by Interloan through your public library. Ministry of Social Development - National Directory (NZ) - The National Directory is a searchable online database. It lists information about family support organisations and the services/programmes they offer to support New Zealand families (we call the organisations in the National Directory "providers"). The purpose of the National Directory is to connect people with providers who can help them to cope with common issues and problems. NZS.com Limited (NZ) - The NZS.com New Zealand Health directory contains a list of Health, Healthy, District Health Board, District Health Boards, Dhb, Health Care and Healthcare NZ websites. Primary Mental Health (NZ) - This website provides useful resources about primary mental health and addiction for the workforce, academics and consumers. Raeburn House (NZ) - This service has grown and evolved over the years to provide up to date, easily accessible information. Experienced staff, provide extensive information of local community support services available and respond efficiently to enquiries covering a wide spectrum of topics. The People's Centre (NZ) - The Peoples Centre was formed over twenty years ago and is a registered non profit organisation that provides affordable medical & dental services to people within our communities. We have a diverse range of patients including Maori, pacific island, refugee and other immigrant populations. Our focus is to provide low income, high needs populations with quality, affordable healthcare.
