Child & Adolescent Bipolar Disorder: An Overview (NZ) - Child and adolescent onset of bipolar is a relatively new concept which has not been as well studied as adult bipolar disorder (Sanchez et al, 1999). The debate that is still ongoing today around a definition of how this disorder is presented in children and adolescents has not yet been cleared due to the lack of research into this phenomenon.
