Auckland City Mission (NZ) - Auckland City Mission offers hope to individuals and families who may be experiencing a temporary set back or a long-term problem that needs expert attention. The Mission provides immediate assistance, such as food, clothing and bedding, and staff work with individuals or families to find workable, long-term solutions to the issues they face.

CADS - Community Alcohol and Drugs Services (NZ) - When you make contact with Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) Auckland, one of our trained alcohol and other drug clinicians will talk with you about your concerns. CADS also provides alcohol and other drug use counselling and information to the gay and lesbian communities in Auckland. Lesbian and gay clinicians are employed within CADS to work with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, takataapui and fa'afafine (LGBTTF) clients.

CONNECT - Supporting Recovery Inc. (NZ) - Formerly AMHS. Committed to working with a recovery focus, flexibly and creatively to inspire hope, create choice and opportunities and encourage transformation and promote health and well-being. Services include: Residential, Asian Responsive Service, Dual Diagnosis, Peer Support and EDGE Employment.

Gambling Helpline New Zealand (NZ) - The Gambling Helpline (New Zealand) is the national freephone ongoing motivational support, referral and information service for gambling problems. Our services are provided to people who are, or have been gambling, family and friends concerned about someone else's gambling and the general public interested in what impact gambling has in New Zealand.

Helpguide.Org (US) - It takes courage and strength to face up to addiction. But there’s hope, no matter how bad the addiction and no matter how powerless you feel. Don’t give up, even if you’ve tried and failed before. Recovery is a process, and there’s bound to be some bumps in the road. But you can overcome your addiction by learning how to cope in ways that are constructive rather than destructive to yourself and others.

Higher Ground Drug Rehabilitation Trust (NZ) - Higher Ground believes that all New Zealanders have a right to a life free of alcohol and other drug dependency. The primary goal of our Therapeutic Community is to foster personal growth and to minimise harm to self and society. We are committed to ongoing research and review of the effectiveness of our services.

Matua Raki (NZ) - National Addiction Treatment Workforce Development Programme. Matua Raki is hosted by Te RauMatatini (February 2008 - February 2009). Te Rau Matatini was established in 2002 and is a national Maori health workforce development organisation that aims to progress Maori workforce development to enhance whanau ora, mental health and wellbeing. Matua Raki was established in 2004 as a National Addiction Treatment Workforce Development Centre to develop sector infrastructure, recruitment, retention and training for the addiction workforce.

Narcotics Anonymous (NZ) - Narcotics Anonymous is a nonprofit, international, community-based organisation for recovering addicts active in over sixty countries. Narcotics Anonymous (NA) members learn from one another how to live drug-free and recover from the effects of addiction in their lives.

NZ Drug Foundation (NZ) - The New Zealand Drug Foundation is committed to reducing and preventing the harm caused by drugs in New Zealand. This includes social and health harms caused by legal drugs, such as tobacco and alcohol, as well as illegal drugs, such as cannabis.

Odyssey House (NZ) - The goal is to assist those suffering from the problems associated with substance abuse and addiction; to change negative, self-defeating behavioural, emotional and cognitive patterns towards positive, self-enhancing ones resulting in pro-social values, attitudes and conduct.

Problem Gambling Foundation of New Zealand (NZ) - PGF believe in empowering and encouraging clients by providing a range of free services designed to meet the needs of its clients with daytime and evening appointments. Qualified health professionals provide counselling services via confidential individual appointments for both gamblers and others affected by gambling.

Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (US) - The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has established a clear vision for its work -- a life in the community for everyone. To realize this vision, the Agency has sharply focused its mission on building resilience and facilitating recovery for people with or at risk for mental or substance use disorders. SAMHSA is gearing all of its resources -- programs, policies and grants -- toward that outcome.

Te Atea Marino (NZ) - Maori Alcohol & Drug Regional Team. Our service is a team of Māori workers who are available to support Tangata Whaiora and their whānau with any substance misuse issues. At Te Ātea Marinō we offer you a range of support, counselling, and consultation options in a culturally appropriate treatment environment.

Te Rau Matatini (NZ) - Te Rau Matatini is a national Maori health workforce development organisation that aims to progress Maori workforce development to enhance whanau ora, mental health and wellbeing. Te Rau Matatini has been established since 2002 and progresses the above aims through a range of national projects which contribute to Maori mental health, primary health and public health workforce policies at a national and regional level to expand the Maori workforce, increase responsiveness to Maori health needs, and promote rewarding career opportunities for Maori in health and mental health.

The Salvation Army Bridge Programme (NZ) - The Bridge Programme provides a safe, integrated, high quality treatment service to people whose lives have been affected by the harmful use of, or dependency on alcohol or drugs. You will be supported, challenged and encouraged to make positive changes in your life so that you can find hope, direction, peace and stability.

TRANX Drug & Alcohol Services (NZ) - TRANX is a certified non-profit organisation based in Auckland, New Zealand. We are a community based alcohol and other drug treatment service that specialises primarily in benzodiazepines (benzo) addiction/dependence. We provide counselling, support, education, information and individual reduction programmes for people with benzodiazepine addiction/dependence and other mind altering substances.
